The Wisdom Group: March 2023 Update

It’s been a month since the last time I gave an update on The Wisdom Group, however, it quite honestly feels like it’s been a year.

If you missed the last update… 

I’m just back from hosting a live 2 day mastermind in Napa Valley with almost 50 Entrepreneurs. Those in the room (excluding myself) will generate well over $100 million dollars this year and every single business (and Entrepreneur) has truly amazing potential:

In general, March was amazing and I couldn’t of imagined that it could of went any better than it did…

For the Month of March, here are a few updates…

1. We’re on the path to raise $5 million dollars for The Wisdom Group, by the end of May, I expect this will be done by purely raising from friends and clients— meaning there are no VC’s or intuitional investors as part of this very first “seed” round— I’m happy and proud of that.

2. In the month of March we finalized the acquisition of 5 different businesses and while a few of them will finish full migration in April, they have all went well and smooth. As it stands at the moment— we will not be transitioning from market expansion to stabilization and then growth, which will mean that we will likely focus on partnerships and/or audience acquisition primarily as we move forward.

3. We’re now nearly finished the infrastructure for Wisdom Media and now are ready to scale sponsorships, partnerships and sales for this side of the business— this has brought with it, plenty of challenges and new issues and our next phase is to build a sales and prospecting team to allow for us to start generating larger levels of revenue. 4. The Wisdom Panel has been a hit success so far and while it’s to early to call it a home run, being able to build out a product that allows for Entrepreneurs to gain authority, exposure, lead flow and sales, is truly amazing and the best part is that it’s already working for generating sales for our clients. 5. We’ve had a lot of success in March for hiring and have hired very critical roles across the board in relation to SEO, Writing, Sales, Operations/Hiring, Delivery and Finances, our model is based on being able to ensure each business inside of The Wisdom Group is ran by a core team, that runs independent of the entire group. Instead of building an agency model, which occurs in most portfolios— our model allows for each business to work by itself, lending economics of scale, while at the same time allowing for the business to work independent of any other business in the portfolio.

6. At the moment, we have two core divisions of The Wisdom GroupIn both of these parts of the business, we’ve seen massive increases in the development of the bottom line revenue of the business, which all profits and dividends are continued to be reinvested. We expect to continue to do this until 2025 in which we will transfer to profit and stabilization mode. Wisdom Group will likely not pull any profit whatsoever from this side of the business until the sale of these businesses and/or 2026. On the Portfolio-owned side, we are tracking to break-even within the next 60 days, while being inside of growth-mode on this part of the business, with the raised capital infusion for Wisdom Group as a whole, our desire is to continue the rest of the year in build and growth mode, to then transfer to partial stabilization mode in early 2024.

   1. Partnerships: Where we own 10-40% of a company and are helping it drive forward.

   2. Portfolio-Owned: Where we own a majority ownership and controlling stake in the business.

7. I had two interviews publish talking about what we’re doing. Both on Flippa along with my friend Anik’s Podcast.

8. As per the last update, we now have our new financial management system integrated and by the end of April, it will be able to compute all of the data we want across all of our businesses, with perfect accuracy— never been so excited for something so geeky.

From here, I could give you another 90 updates that are more structural and in the weeds, however, these are some of the larger highlights.
